APPLY TO BE A FELLOW OF THE SOCIETY
The Physiological Society of Nigeria, through the body of fellows, recognises excellence and regularly selects scholars who have contributed immensely in their fields of expertise as fellows of the Physiological Society of Nigeria.
The Body of Fellows of the Physiological Society of Nigeria requests applications from qualified members for consideration for the Fellowship of the Physiological Society of Nigeria. The nomination form is downloadable from the Society's website or obtainable from the Chairman, Body of Fellows of the Society.
A prospective fellow of PSN must fulfill the following requirements:
- Fellows shall be members of the Society who have made significant contributions to the physiological sciences and to the Society.
- Fellow candidates shall have been an active member in good standing of the society for at least eight (10) contiguous years.
- Must have attended at least THREE out of the last FIVE. Annual general meetings
- Must have been a Professor for not less than TEN YEARS before the year of nomination
- The candidates should have successfully supervised at least 8 PhD students.
- The candidate shall have made a significant contribution to the field of physiology as well as contributions to the Physiological Society of Nigeria. Fellowship shall be awarded based on a long and consistent history of activities.
- Must demonstrate outstanding scientific leadership and citizenship and, if applicable, contributions to policymaking. Towards this end, the nomination form is expected to be accompanied by a list and actual copies of the nominee’s 10 best publications, which he/she regards as constituting distinguished contributions to knowledge and scholarship.
PROCEDURE

- The nomination form shall be signed by at least TWO Fellows of PSN—one of them as proposer and another as seconder.
- Candidates are requested to forward electronic copies of all nomination documents (in PDF files), i.e., the nomination form, list of 10 best publications, electronic copies of the 10 best publications, CV and a 250-word citation.
